Crazy crazy crazy days.

The past two days have been crazy insane and so! stressful. Today better be...better.

Monday started out a good day, had breakfast with Alex, talked about the new place he's moving into Thursday, how great the new area is...stuff like that. And off I go to school for the day.

During the subway ride I decide to check the time, see if I time to grab a coffee and can't find my phone. After pulling out everything in my purse and gym bag, I realize duh! It's at his place pulled in and mister is at work now. Cue freak out and how will I manage 8 hours without celly!?

Eventually I message him on facebook on my friends ipad and all is good, he'll drop it off later that night. It's sad how naked I felt without it. But it was nice.  I *may* forget it once and a while again.
~

Yesterday was bad too. But started off good. Pattern maybe?

My mom needed me out of the house early in the morning so I went to a new ymca location that I've never been to before to try out a new class. I got on the right bus from the right subway station and notice that google maps lied to me because we never passed Dovercourt. I decide to get off the bus and get google maps to give me walking directions. "Location unknown"-it reads. Stupid google maps. I call my handy navigator Alex and while he looks up directions I set my laptop down to rest outside a busy starbucks.

He calls back and says "just walk north a bit and it'll be the south side on the street." Done. Off I walk north. I'm walking and looking at homes, wondering what's it like to live downtown when all of a sudden I clue in that I didn't pick up my laptop when I started walking again!

Crap! I book it and sprinted hard for that 7 minute walk, praying that it's still there because it's two weeks before finals and all my notes! My notes!

Karma was on my side today, it was still there. Not damaged, thank God-literally, he was watching it.

Postin from the 'Bucks

This blog post is coming from the starbucks that is literally a minute away from my house. I actually feel like a "real blogger" now, blogging from the bucks.

I have a really big and important assignment due for one of my summer school courses and yesterday and brunch, my router decided to die. After 2 hours of re-booting my internet connection and using my home computer for research and typing up my assignment on my lap top on my lap..I gave up. Ain't no body got time for that.

So after my dad "fixed" it, which really wasn't fixed, I gave up and came to starbucks to finish the assignment today. I actually like working here. Usually I get distracted but today I motored through. Just submitted it!

I've noticed a few things while sitting at starbucks over the lunch hour.
-Girls from the highschool love dressing in big sweatshirts.
-And they flirt so much!
-These kids smoke so young. Their poor lungs.
-Most of the students didn't even buy drinks but used the chairs to gossip for an hour.
-Kids are annoying and I really hope I wasn't that annoying! Yikes.
~

On a happier note, my Grandpa Hannon went home today from the hospital and back to his nursing home to my Gramma. Please pray that he continues to get better and lives for a really long time.

Ya, I'm strange. Aren't we all?!

pinned here

~ I think of my blog post ideas at work. *Like this one* Don't worry, I watch the pool but what else is there to do when watching people swim from the shallow end to deep end...and again?!

~Speaking of work: I must guard first during lane swim/aquafit. For the past 3.5 years, I've gone on first and now it's a habit.

~I drink my smoothie and read the newspaper in the same spot every morning. If my mom is up at the same time? Oh, God help us. We totally fight over it.

~I make sure to set my alarm 2 minutes early so I have time to update twitter/Intsagram and FB.

~I recently made a YouTube account and now I am obsessed with Jenna Marbles and the Shaytards.
Go check them both out if you haven't.

~I sometimes enjoy reading bridal magazines. This could be why I have my wedding planned out..minus the man.

~I wink back at my cats when they wink at me.

~Speaking of cats, I always make up nicknames for new cats I met. Sammy sounds better as Sammy Wammy in my opinion.
thank you katie for this idea :)

Beer and friends

Those two things equal perfection.

I spent saturday evening with a good group of high school friends celebrating Nicole's 20th birthday which is on the 29th (leap year baby!)

Side note: I can't believe that we're all turning 20 this year! So olldddd!

Beer turned into wine (classy, what can I say?!) which turned into dinner.

Dinner turned into chocolate brownie ice cream cake for the birthday girl.

And dessert led into more beer which got us talking about our high school.

Trying to explain to the other girls who didn't go to our high school, that it really isn't that ghetto (so what if a kid was shot and passed away one block away?!) was pretty hard.

This got us sharing our favourite teacher's, which ones loved us and which ones were straight up mean.

This turned into Erin telling us how her and another boy used to light matches and throw them out the window in grade 9 english class and when the teacher ask what the burning smell was? Oh miss, it's the sun burning some matches on the roof.

Ian and Nicole getting away with not wearing the uniform and miranda being one of the few black girls in our school.

Best part? Finding out that a certain boy from high school expressed his love to Erin for the 4th time two weeks ago!

It was so nice to sit back and have a drink (none for me, driving home) and catch up, share our hate for our now former high school and love on our favourite teachers.

I didn't get any pictures (does that mean it didn't happen?!) but that's okay, making memories in my head.

Prom 2010: Ian, Andrew, Carly, Miranda, Me, Erin, Nicole and Meghan
And just for the record. This was after prom, my face wasn't that shiny all evening.

These vidoes make my life.

I'm sure y'all have seen the new viral videos Shi*t Girls say on facebook and youtube.

If you haven't here you go! It's creepy how true it is.

episode 1

episode 2
I love watching them and having tears coming down my face because they are so true and funny.

This week, a friend on facebook upload the Sh*t People never say in the GTA (greater Toronto area)

The Scarbourgh Town Center one kills me. Good mall, horrbile bathrooms. Everytime you go into a stall there is loads of pee on the seat. Not just on the lip but at the back. So gross.

The best one is the one my school made, it might not be funny to y'all but enjoy!

Does your town or city have a video like this? Let me know, I would love to watch them.

I can laugh about it now.

You know the classic story shown in movies or even in real life where the young teenager does laundry for the first time and puts way to much soap in the soap thing and before you know it bubbles are everywhere?! Ya that.

The same sorta thing happened to me on tuesday.

My neighbours who I cat-sit for (been their #1 cat-sitter since I was 13) went to Jamaica this week. There has been a few break-ins in the past years so the owners, let's call them Lindsey and Ted, told me to make myself at home. Basically to make it seem like I am visiting people. I may or may not have gone over at 6:30 tuesday night, grabbed a bowl of ice cream and camped out watching the biggest loser and teen mom.

The cats love it. So lonely.

Anyways, so Ted and Lindsey have a Whirlpool jacuzzi in their bathroom and I decided that I want to read a bit in a nice hot bath. No harm, I thought.

I even brought over some liquid  bath soap. Bad idea.

Before I got in I did notice the button at the end of the tub that turns on the jets, but wasn't ready for the jets to come on so I left it off.

So at first I'm sitting in the tub, enjoying the bubbles and the cute little purrs from Russel who sat right beside the tub the entire time.

the jacuzzi.

I get out my book and have music playing from the phone when all of a sudden the jets come on! I whip around to see if the cat was standing on the button, which he wasn't. As I turn back around the bubbles are now raising up fast. Fast meaning within 10 seconds those bubbles have risen and are going to spill over the edge in 3...2...1.

All I can picture is bubbles going everywhere in the bathroom and ruining something! Finally I get the hose and start lightly watering the bubbles down, which helps.

Finally the jets go off.

::heart rate comes down::

I guess when the tub senses water in the tub, it turns the jets on automatically for a few minutes. Wasn't expecting that.

So moral of the story? Don't put soap in the jacuzzi. Just don't.

Best part is hanging with these sweet guys. Russel is the small grey one and Gary (yes, named after the snail in Spongebob, that's what happens when a 8 year names the cat) is the bigger one.

Russel LOVES when I put the electric fireplace on.
