Insta-lately

1) My valentines gift from Alex

2) Jenn made me have cereal for dinner on Monday. 

3) Monsters we made in creative arts class. 

4) We had Shrove Pancakes a day late last week. Still tasted so good.

5) Love this bright pink.

6) My little Iggy looking cute.

7) Dog-sitting this week. Boy, dogs are a lot of work!

8) I love seeing kitty paw prints in the snow.

9) Alex is in Vancouver till Feb 26th and Sunday we both went to our local starbucks for a date...4,000km away! It was so good to "see" him. 7 days till we see each other :)

Letters on a Friday

Dear Running,

I am so excited for this 10k on sunday (first one, beginners joy?). Granted I haven't run a 10k in...ever but a 9.3k and a 8k yesterday is good enough. Hoping to finish in an 1:10 or less.

Dear Dad,

So happy you are running this race with me on sunday. Yes, the Boston Marathon finisher is doing a 10k.  Father-daughter bonding say what?

I'm really sorry, but you need to go. You've been my blog title for over 14 months but I am so bored with you. Not to mention it feels like every blog out there has "life" in it. So blog friends? Help a girl out. If you have any suggestions feel free to comment and let me know.

Dear nails,

It totally ticked me off last night when I went to do my nails and noticed I had no more nail glue left because the other bottle glue it self shut and no matter how hard I try, that thing it not coming un-done. Day three of bare nails is killing me.

Dear colour jeans,

Why did I wait so long to get you? Totally love my coral colour and could easily wear them every day. must get another pair a.s.a.p

What I'm loving Wednesday-Make up

1) I am loving Bath and Body Works new spring line. This candle is Blackberry Grapefruit and it's so good. Isn't over powering, like it's-giving-me-a-headache. Not to much, which I like. 

2) I am loving Mary Kay Lash Love in black. I love it so much, does everything I want. Lengthens and makes me actually look like I have lashes too. 

3) I am loving EOS lip balm. This stuff is amazing! Love that it's organic too.

4) I am loving Kiss nails. I started uses fakes because I like the look better and so far they are great! and cheap :)

5) This product will get it's own post but I am loving MAC liquid foundation. It looks so natural but covers everything. Expensive? Yes. But worth it.

NOTW-Nails of the week

If you know me, you know I'm a sucker for nail polish. This might sounds cheesy but my outfit isn't complete with some polish.

This week I painted my nails Warm and Foozie by OPI.

Then yesterday I was in need of a good mani/pedi.

I got this sparkly pink for my toes. It's Excuse Moi by OPI.

And I finally got Shellac! I love it so far! My nail lady said she had a client who's stayed on for 5 weeks. Very excited to see how long it lasts on me. 

It's a dark grey and sometimes I see a bit of purple. Love it.

Even though the I have go into Eaton Center go get home, I stay away from it becasuse a) I'll spend all my money and  b) christmas is a'coming. I did spend almost $50 at Trade Secrets when I treated myself to OPI Muffets :) And we all agree how pretty they are.

I love peonies. I've already decided that those are my flowers for my wedding. You know, to my guy I haven't met..yet :)

School work. I love school, love knowing that I'm working towards a great degree but sometimes? I want to be lazy. December 5th can't come fast enough!

weekend update and nails

The only thing I can think about these days is a) 3 weeks till winter break b) Early Childhood Education. This is all I can manage today. I do have a non-random post ready for friday.


On Friday night, I went back to my high school to see the class of 2011 graduate. Many of the kids I've known since grade 1 and I got close to more last year during the victory lap. I mainly wanted to see my friend, Faiza's valedictorian speech. I've known her since grade 1 and got close to her when her mom passed away from breast cancer when she was 6. Faiza was student body prez for the 10-11 school year and she was the one who brought change to said highschool. She is now taking poli-sci at Carleton which is in the nations capital. She has dreams to come back to Toronto and be a politician. I KNOW her dreams will happen. Her speech was great! I find a lot of them are either to funny or to sappy. Hers had a bit of both and she totally quoted the old spice guy. 


On Saturday, my family went up to Peterborough to visit Ryan and Danielle. We hadn't seen Ry since thanksgiving and Danielle since labour day weekend. 


We weren't really planning on it, but I got my bridesmaids dress! I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Come back wednesday and I'll show you it :)


Sunday was a HUGE homework day. Oh university life.

I've had it easy with my class schedule this semester. With having two days off during the week. And, it just keeps getting better. I found out on Thursday that my one and only exam is on the first day of the exam period, December 5th. So on December 5th at 3pm, I will be done school for the Christmas! Best of all, I go back January 9th.
I'm going to enjoy the time off since starting in January, I will have placement twice a week plus 4 classes. Hello, no days off. ::Insert crying here:: 


I finally painted my nails Meep, Meep, Meep by OPI on Thursday.

I'm totally having a tattoo fever again! #Vague

I have found my new stress relief. Running. I downloaded couch to 5k about a month a go and seriously love it so much. I'm on week 7, day 2 out of 9, I plan to get the couch to 10k and train for a 10k race which I'll do in the spring. I've been running about 3x a week for 30 minutes! Hopefully this will help me get to my goal weight for the wedding sooner :)

I am completely, 100% loving OPI's Winter 2011 Line called Muffets.

I got a few of them last week. I got Wocka-Wocka, Pepe's Purple Passion, Warm and Fozzie and Meep-Meep-Meep. I've only worn Wocka-Wocka and Pepe's Purple Passion and can't wait to try the other two!

Right now, I am loving Wocka-Wocka! You'll see why :)

 When the light hits it, it is totally sparkly and shimmery red. I can see anybody wearing it on New Years Eve! I am in love <3
