This week can be over NOW

The past few days have been sucky. It started tuesday. My Grandpa Campbell (Mom's fam) called and said that my 68 year old Grandma had fallen down the stairs at the local library. She was in the ER for some time doing X RAYS and helping her. She's okay. A little bruised up/shaken up but will make a full recovery.

Wednesday was our dress rehearsal for the play. As we were on stage a stupid punk went through our bags and stole many things. Including a two day old blackberry, 32g IPOD, $10 from me and feb metro pass, and gum. I'm a visitor there and that's how I get treated? Heck to the no. The punk will be caught as the school thankfully had cameras.

After the play, my parents came home, I had to stay and listen to the judge talk and talk and talk. Apprently my dad's 80 something year old aunt got into a horrible car crash last night. She had two blood clots and a brain aneurysm. At the moment my dad hasn't been home since 10:30 last night (been at hospital). Aunt Kay has had one surgry, her heart did stop but was resuscitated. The doctors didn't think she was strong enough to handle the second surgry. My dad is power of attorney. As power of attorney he has to make that horrible and tough choice to tell the doctor to pull the plug. This is al the infomation I have right now. I'll keep you posted.

~My play went great! Beside the fact a staple went throw my foot 5 mins before the show, it went great! The results will be posted soon!~

~Please pray for my Aunt Kay, as her fate is desided, pray for my dad as he makes those choices. And be with Judge who choses who goes on.~

Wear a bow for Maddie

(I was reading a blog that I follow and this breaks my heart, lets do this! I will even tho I don't have kids)
I know I posted about this family yesterday
but you guys these tears are just never ending.
I have cried so much in the past couple days over this little girl and her family who is going through the process of planning their 4 month baby girl's funeral.

My heart just hurts so much right now.
And this mom needs so much support, love, and prayers right now.

More than ever.

So I'm asking, each and every one of you to do something special.

Maddie's mom made a request yesterday on her blog.
Her little girl loved BIG bows.

Maddie's mom asked for all you moms out there to put a big bow on your daughter on WEDNESDAY 2/23, and send her pictures.

Please please do this for her.

And even if you don't have a daughter, post about it... spread the word.

If this is something that she needs, something that shows how many lives her little one has touched... then take a minute out of your day and offer that support....

And if you haven't already....head over to her blog and send her some loving words and prayers of support.

Snail Mail!

Today was an exciting day as I opened the mail. Inside was the usual stuff like bills and junk mail, but today oh boy it was good. There were two pieces for me. My visa bill (boo) and snail mail from my friend Micheala from Halifax. M and I have worked together the past two summers and she quickly has become one of my fav friends. She is now at Dalhousie uni. Back in the summer I said that I would mail her, just so we could keep in contract. So thus began the monthly letters. M didn't have time to write me back (don't blame her) but always said she felt bad and would start too. So when we got together during Christmas break (starbucks) she said that she would promise to!

And did you follow through. Her letter was so nice! I miss her so much. M is the.sweetest.person. EVER and she's awesome to have as a friend. Only two more months till we get to see each other, and I'm counting down the days.

Also guess whats in two days!?
My play!
That's right. My school is competing in the Sears festival on Thursday. It's so exciting and I can't wait.

MIscellany Monday

I totally didn't know what to write about today. Nothing seemed good. As I was reading the blogs I stalk everyday (not stalking if I'm a follower right?!) and a few had done this. Bear with me will ya?

1) The weather- Last thursday and friday were perfect! plus 5 and 9. beautiful. Loved it. Then? Last night we got snow. Not a lot but enough that people were shoveling. I am so over winter. C'on spring hurry your butt up! We're dying.

2) Excercise-I finally got back into running last week. You see I will go through periods were I run 3 or 4 times a week and totally in love with the fittness (my body) and how I felt. Then school began and guess what pushed to the back burner? Yup, running did. I'm glad I got back into it. My goal is to do two (5kms) and 1 (10km) this year. Call me crazy idc.

3)TV-Last night the amazing race came back on! I'm so so so happy. I've missed it. I don't have a fac team yet (ususally pick mine in about a week or two.) Also tonight is the hometown visits on the Bachelor, my fav episode! yahoo :) I love emily/ashley/shawntel. So basically 3/4.

4) Family-This weekend was the birthday weekend. Saturday was the bros 24th and Sunday we held a surprise 50th for my aunt (her birthday is friday.) It was a lot of fun! I love fam jams. I love my family more than anything and its great having them over.

Well that's it for now. I promise I'll be back to real blogging soon. (is there such thing as real blogging?!) didn't think so.

Silent Sunday's

Last night the fam went out to our fav restaurant Jawny Baker's for my brother's 24th birthday.

Top Row: My dad and my brother Ryan. (yes they are related...)

Bottom Row: Me (looking 60 pounds over weight blah) My mom and my *almost* sister-in-law Danielle.

Heavy Heart

Here I am at 12:06 am writing this post. This post is something that I've been thinking about writing for a long time (ha past month). It is a topic that I'm very sensitive about. Only my BFF (and now brother and mom know about.) I might come across someone who is full of life, happy and independent but I'm not.

You must be dying to know what I'm hinting about. Well its my love life (or my non-love life)Even though I'm only 18 (19 in march) I worry about my love life.

I'm going to be honest, this fact scares me to write, knowing it's on the world wide web. But I've never had a boyfriend (other than 3 week fling in grade 9) Why should that bother me?! I know girls who say I'm lucky. "You don't have to be careful or answer to someone" But I WANT TO. I want someone. I'm not talking about marriage ( I want to get married, I know many who at this age were planning their wedding, their still happily together) but just someone to hang out with other than my girl friends. Now, don't understand me, I like guys. I have crushes (hate using that word..crushes so grade 3) I flirt. I know what I want. But my problem is when I think the guy knows I like him...I freeze. I back off. I stop flirting. All because I'm afraid of getting hurt. I pull back. I regret this.

Every once and a while (read:that time of the month) when my hormones are going CRAZY, it seems that all I think about is marriage/moving in/kids.

Today was one of those days.

It was my brothers birthday on the 19th (happy 24th Ryan!) so he and his girlfriend D came into the city for dinner. The last weekends my bro has stopped in to visit he has poked some fun at me. (We always do this, its normal) but this time I didn't take it as a joke and had a melt down in the basement. It went like this: enter grandma, "oh hey cutie"
me: aww hi grandma (totally shocked to see her, didn't know she was coming by)
ryan: who else did you think it was? grandma is the only person that's gonna call you cute.

Oh NO he didn't. But he did.

I brushed it off like it was nothing but as I walked down the hall to my room I just felted the water works coming. I excused myself and went downstairs to watch thursdays greys episode (I lied, to ball my eyes out). Never have I felt like that. I knew he meant no harm but when my emotions are playing with me already I couldn't stop them. The worst part was, I was thinking that my bro who loves me a lot, meant that no one would ever want to be with me. Then the negative talk entered my mind. "Because your not good enough, not pretty enough, it would help to lose 10 pounds." ya, um I can be really REALLY mean to myself.

It just seems like everywhere you look, people are in love, holding hands, kissing, getting married. But me. When I see this all.the.freakin.time. Its hard not to think that I'm going to end up as the crazy cat lady.

But I'm wrong.
I know that God has someone for me. He even says that its not good for people to be alone. I have faith in him that he has a great Christian guy waiting to sweep me off my feet. I know he does because I pray for my future boyfriend/husband a few times a week. Its the waiting part that kills me. The unknown part that scares me. I'm a planner, I like to know when stuff is gonna happen. But God doesn't work that way. I have to wait. Wait for my love. Wait for my time. It will come, I know.

~~~When a door closes, another opens~~~
I'm done with the high school relationship stuff and ready for the better more serious stuff!
My mom did come down and I told her what had happened, and she explained to Ryan what was going on. He did come down and said sorry. He didn't know it would hurt my feelings. I'm not mad at him, never was, just my feelings were hurt and the negative talk wasn't helping at all.
Me loves Wednesday's
I'm big on routines and traditions.
If I normally do something at a certain time you better believe it that I will keep doing it at that time.
Take wednesdays.
I LOVE wednesdays.
Wanna know why?
Wednesdays is MY time with the BFF. You see Karen and I would sometimes go without days before we saw each other. We I got tired of that, so we changed it.
It started almost 18 months ago. Karen took that year off school (i'm such a copy cat!) and got into glee. Me? Not so much (take your chins off the ground, I LOVE GLEE! I thought it was the stupidest show ever! But after work one day Karen called me and I "come over now we're watching glee." So being the polite cute girl I went over and fell in love. At.first.sight with finn/puck. After Christmas I didn't work wednesdays so we got in the habit of watching glee/friends on wednesdays. I walked over to Karen's house at 6...we would watch an episode or two of friends (we finished all ten seasons in 7 months!) After mid week bible study we would come back to her house, grab a snack (made a mad dash for the tv) and watched glee.
Since glee is on tuesdays, and I work then, we watch it wednesdays. Since we finished friends we now are on the 7th season of the office. Its so funny! love LOVE LOVE it!
I love wednesdays. I look forward to it every week. My parents do to. They have 3 hours of alone time. Its funny when I stay home (because karens sick/to much hw ect.) they always ask "when you leaving for Carols?" "Shouldn't you be at Karen's?") I have no clue what they do (not that I want to.)
I love hump day. Seeing my BFF/watching fav shows =bliss.
It's one of the reasons why I might stay at home for university. But who knows.
What's your favourite day of the week and why?
Sickness can suck it and others
I'm sick.
I woke up saturday feeling somewhat okay but throughout the day feeling worse and worse. My brother and I did crash out parents v-day dinner which made me smile. Sunday I could hardly talk but managed to get through church. I had a nap (if you call reading the new glamour sleeping, then yes that's what I did) Monday when I woke up, I couldn't speak! I felt like crap but managed to get to school (do I still call it school, even though I'm done and outta there?!) anyways I had rehearsal for our play which we are being judged on on the 24th, heard of the sears festival? I'm in it for my school. Super cool!
Today I have to aches, the hot hot very hot shower I had helped a bit. So basically I eat, no wait drink soap and tea with honey. I hope I can shake this. Le sigh.
Yesterday was v-day as we all know. I didn't have a valentine this year. Which usually I get upset about but not this year. Hopefully next year I'll have a valentine. My dad always makes me and my mom feel special, he did the flowers and cards thing. Loveee him :)
I've been meaning to ask for prayers for a fellow blogger for a while. Let me explain. 3 months ago, a fellow blogger that I know lost her husband unexpectedly while he was hunting. Vee blogs about her progress with her grief and how she's still standing for her children. She has 3 children, the youngest being 1 week old. Yes, little Carter was born last tuesday. It's been 3 months and it ain't any easier for Vee. Please please please pray for the King family as they walk through life trying to pick up the pieces.
Also, wanna pray that this year I'll fall madly in love?! just kidding, sorta.
I'm pooped, time for a little napy nap.
Oh Canada
I'm patriotic.
I never used to be.
When I was younger, I had many friends who were Greek. I envied their heritage.
I wished for nothing more than to be Greek (or anything else)
But that changed.
I can't remember the exact time when I started appreciating my lovely nation. I can't begin to explain how proud I was during the 2010 Winter Olympics. I seriously cried EVERYTIME I heard the national anthem. Love you athletes! You've done good. During the olympics there was this song written by a Canadain signer-songer named Classified. His song was really popular, I even still listen to it. The lyrics are really funny and so true. He diff made a mint. Take a listen for yourself. Go...the link is right there.
Last week I heard another song by a Canadain rapper named Kardinal Offishall. It's called the anthem. The song is about how great the city of toronto is!
I'm so proud to live in such a great Country. And live in a such an awesome multiculture society in Toronto. I can't imagine living anywhere else. I bleed red and white.
Weekend Update
Yes yes I know, you're are thinking 'buts its thursday."
Your correct, it is, but excuse me I've been a bit busy.
This weekend was my first weekend EVER being off school. I always do my homwork saturday afternoons and sunday afternoons. And when those day/times came around, I felt so strange not having homework to get done! To say the least, I love love loved it :) I could get used to it!
Since I'm off school this semester I am picking up as many shifts at the pools as possible. (Fyi: I work at a few pools as a lifegaurd and swimming teacher) I worked all day monday (that's 9am-930PM!!!!) Yes you read that right. Then tuesday 5-945 and tonight same time.
(Below: this is my new fav candle. I love how it lightens up the hallway) Sunday was a great day. As usual I woke up and got ready for Church. Went through the same motions but for some reason church was extra extra good this sunday. I felt more alert and focused (maybe thats because I had two 4 years sitting with me, so I had to be an example) but anyways for the first time in a few weeks I walked out of church on my spiritual "high."
Gosh I love those days.
Then Sunday afternoon as we all know, it was the superbowl. The packers were playing (AND WON!!!!) so i watched with my dad. I never watch football, I'm more of the person who wants to know the final score. But since the packers are my bros and dads favourite team, I knew I had to watch.
My dad was on the edge of his seat Let's just say that If the packers lost, my house wouldn't be a very fun place to be in!
I enjoyed watching the game, I totally didn't know what the heck was going on but my dear dad explained to me.
Hope y'all had a wonderful weekend! and just think in a day another weekend will be happening!
xoxo Sarah
The rugrats
Sorry I've been MIA the past couple of days (if anyone I have been working like crazy, and yesterday was at a swim meet all day and worked at night.
Note:This post may be turn back now or stick around!
When I say rugrats, I mean it in a good way. Thats what I call my younger cousins.
A little history: Adam and Grace are my younger(est) counsins on my moms side of the family. Before Adam (older than Gracie) I was the youngest counsins. (Read: spolied and fawned all over for 9 years.) Then Adam came along. I shouldn't say "along," he didn't take a train here. Adam made me a older cousin (I have a younger cousin Eric on my dad's side but he lives in Alberta.) I had so much fun with Adam! Love love loveeee him to pieces!
Then 2 1/2 years later Gracie came along. Such fun having a (younger) girl cousin!
Now the grandchildren count was up to 9. (and still is)
Now instead of me being the youngest, Grace is (she is also on her moms side)
(Left: A+G last may, I think this is lunch time)
My Aunt V married my moms brother Brian. Good I'm glad that cleared up ;)
Adam and Grace are such a blessing in my life. Beside the fact that they made me an older cousin, I'm soooo lucky to see them on a regular visit. When I say "regular" I mean once or twice a week.
You see when my Aunt V has to work I pick them up at their school (which is 2 seconds away from my house and b)my former elememtary school!) Then we walk to my house where lunch has been dropped off by my Uncle or Aunt at 9am. After lunch we walk back to school, and sometimes I have to pick them up afterschool too. Its such a busy day but I love seeing them and spending alone time (read: no parents, grandparents, other cousins.)
They are growing up soo fast! Almost 10 and 7!
One of our favourite games (besides trouble and memory) is run-a-round tag. My bro and used to play it and now A and G alwayys want to play! Basically you run around my house playing tag. Or wrestle Sarah to the ground. I like the first one!
(Left: They really don't like taking pictures, Karen really wanted one)
(Right: YES! got one)
(Left: LOVE you guys!)
I love these kids more than anything in the world. They are so exhausting sometimes but I wouldn't have it any other way. Its going to fun when we're in our 40s and 30s talking about the fun times at Sarah's house, playing tag and beating her up. Can't wait!
Silent Sunday's- New Addition
Meet the newest member of the Hannon household.
Blog World meet Iggy Hannon
We adopted him from a friend of a friend three weeks ago today. We have had some trouble with him getting along with my other love, moggie. But *knock on wood* it seems to be geting better. He's so cute! love love loveee him!
He always jumps on the computer chair and wants on my lap for cuddles. (Did I mention he loves cuddling?) A man after my own heart! Along with making him happy, he is a drooler. It can get gross but in the end he's a cutie so he makes it cute!
This is him always be skidish and jumpy when someone walks into a room.
I'm in love already!
I've never been a huge football fan. But thats going to change today. You see, the green bay packers are playing. If you wanna know anything about my brother and dad, the packers are their FAVOURITE TEAM! So needless to say in an hour and a half, I'll be sitting on the couch cheering on the packers.
Freakin Good Friday
Today marks the first day out of school! It was a productive day to say that least. Not like wednesday. ugh, let's not go there.
I was planning on sleeping in, but was awoken by my lovely uncle calling to see if I could walk my cousins to school today. Of course uncle B, anything for you! The kiddos came and we got dressed and off we went. I had an appointment at 10 for my eyebrows (yes, nothing will come between me and getting my eyebrows done!)
I came home and got the mail....
What was there?
Take a closer look!
Yes friends, that is a package from ryerson uni! and we all know what the big package means!
You are right, 10 points for you. Ryerson accepted me for their child and youth care starting sept 2011! It was one of my top choices! I immediately called my dad. brother and mom. Texted all my friends and of course up dated my twitter and facebook. I was excited okay!?
The reason why I was so excited was a) i'm going to uni! b) my hard work paid off c)The whole reason for going back to highschool (since I garduated in june) was to get better marks and get in where.
Yesterday I had a horrible day. I got my marks back. The one I was really concerned about was my english. Lat year I passed with a 77 and I wanted closer to an 80. So I re-took english again and got I went home and cried. (Read: I'm very emotional) That evening I went over to the BFF's and talked to her about what happened. She told me that everything will work out and not to worry, I would go to uni. I was scared to say the least. Then not even 24 hours later...I get in!
Yes, it has been a good friday!
Hope y'all are out of the snow and keeping warm.
Off to yoga class!
peace and blessings
(p.s yes you caught me..I did rip open the letter and re took a picture of it)
My mac to my cheese
Warning: This post may be mushy.
This post is for my Best Friend Karen. I'll call her the BFF on
my blog.
Karen (also known as Carol to my family) didn't just "meet" one day. You see it all started back when I was 3 and Karen was 4 (we are 14 months a part) Mrs. Ellis (bff''s mom) went back to work and my mom ran a home daycare in our house. Karen and her sisters came over for lunch and after school a few days of the week. So that meant that the BFF and I spent A LOT of time together. We did go to the same elementary school but weren't bes
t friends then.
Skip forward a few years, went middle school. Every morning I would walk to karen's house (btw which is only a block away from mine!) and we would walk past my house to go to school. We did this every day for 2 years. (read: I'm a creature of habit, It felt wired walking to school by myself in grade 8, when bff was in 9.)
Anyways, so grade 8 (for me) was okay, Karen made lots of new friends but we saw each other on wednesdays (for church) and would do something fun on the weekends.
Then it was my turn to go to the big house ( no not jail) but highschool. At that time, the Ellis' sent Karen to a private Christian school (Great Lakes Christian High School) in Beamsville ON. This meant that the only time I could see the BFF was from late friday night to mid afternoon on sundays. Nope, not fun at all. I mean she's my bestie and when I needed her, she was 2 hours away. Can we say brutal?
Then in 2009, Karen graduated high school. She took the year off and worked. At this time I was in grade 12. I always say that 2009-2010 was THE BEST YEAR OF MY LIFE. Karen and I had weekly lunch dates, where we would have lunch (duh) at each other house's one or twice a week. Also with that she got me into to glee. I thought it was the stupid show EVER but she told me to watch it and I was hooked. So every wednesday after mid week bible study we would watch glee together and her house. To date we still do this little tradition (again, I'm a creature of habit!)
I love love lovveeee wednesdays. We also watch the office together before glee. Such a goood show!
Karen and I aren't just BFF's. We are sisters. Mr and Mrs Ellis call me their 4th daughter because I'm always at their house! We even fight like sister's. Yup thats right folks, we can get upset at each other. We haven't in a longgg time but that's because we work on our relationship. I know Karen and I will be 80 years old and causing trouble in the nursing homes!
I love this girly so much! I don't know what I would do without her.
Oh and it was her 20th birthday last friday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY (again) Carol.
(Shes called Carol because one night when we were counselling at omagh, one of my campers said "carol just let sarah explain" I looked around and replied "whos Carol!?" For the rest of the week EVERYONE at camp called her Carol. It's now the running joke in my family.)
I love doing life with you Karen!
Can't wait to see what God has planned for us.
I cracked
Guess who has twitter?!
Peer pressure got to me.
thats right,
add me.
(but you must be a follower)
Good start to February!
Yes that's right, I'm done highschool! (read:i'm a young one!)
I had my last exam today. It went okay. Just okay. Ancient Civ isn't the easiest course ever!
I have to go back thursday for my marks but other than that, I'm off till Sept 2011, when I will go to uni (details to come)
Tomorrow I promise I will post an actual post (ones with pictures.)
So check back wednesday!
Have a great tuesday!
yay teen mom and biggest loser on tonight woot!
Name Change
I changed my blog name today.
I thought of "heart overflowing" a while a go, while reading a book.
I thought it was verryyyy creative but the more I got thinking about it, it sounded to general.
To much like everyone else's.
Actually before I changed the name, I was reading a blog by the name of "between the lines". So very creative, made me want to click her hyperlink and find out who this girl was. That's when I decided I should changed my name.
I wanted something that people would remember, something that wasn't like every other blog out there. (no offence to others, its your blog, name it what you want.)
So sarah why did you pick "all the worlds a stage". gooooddd question ;)
For one thing I loveee loveee loveee Shakespeare. Friggin best writer! have you read hamlet?!
This is a monologue taken by Shakepeare himself. Basically it means that everyday we all have different parts. As much as we hate to say it, we aren't the same person all the time. I know I'm not the same when visiting my 88 and 89 year old grandparents vs. hitting the town (city) with the BFF. nope sorry not the same. I'm not saying I'm putting on an act for my g-rents, because I'm not. This is what I'm trying to change. I don't want to live in double standards anymore. This is who I am. Here right now, this is who I am. Take it or leave it.
The monologue also says "and one man in his time plays many parts." So true. I have many parts. I'm first and foremost a child of God, a daughter, sister, bff.
I like the name. It also suits my other passion: drama. I live for drama (no not the girl fighting-backstabing) but the class. The past 3 years, I've taken 5 drama classes, you do the math. Yup, thats right I live to be on the stage. I'm in a play right now, to be put on in 3 weeks! eck (more on that later)
I hope you had a great monday, now on to tuesday!
Happy Febuary (the shortest month, then my birthday!)
oh and thanks to "no fear shakespeare" for the help. Couldn't have gotten through english without you!
